Smart PDF Insight scans, parses, and searches PDFs. It prioritizes on-device recognition of text, images, and tables, with page review, file conversion, AI summaries, and evidence-linked search.
Useful for reports, contracts, course materials, papers, receipts, and scanned documents. Machine recognition and layout recovery cannot be perfectly accurate, so review important content before exporting or using it.
Tap the import panel and choose a PDF from Files, or share a PDF into the app. Password-protected files request a password, and unusually large or long documents ask for confirmation before processing.
Each page is classified as digital, scanned, or mixed. The app reads the original text layer first and uses OCR when needed. You can monitor progress or cancel before the result workspace opens.
Switch between parsed content and the original PDF. Open full page text, paragraphs, tables, and extracted images. Correct recognition errors and jump back to the source PDF page for verification.
Convert the latest corrected content to TXT, Markdown, HTML, Word, or a page resource package. Save the result to Files or share it. Complex layouts, formulas, and charts may still need manual adjustment.
Choose a concise summary, detailed summary, or key points and actions. Each summary type is stored separately, so completed results can be switched and reviewed without running them again.
Ask questions in the chat-style search page. The app searches the PDF's local index before generating an answer. Verified evidence appears as page chips that open the source page; insufficient evidence never produces fake citations.
